As one of Jakarta’s supporting cities, Depok City successfully developed into a “Cyber City” since Depok City is expected to become one of the cities with advanced development of information and communication technology, as well as a city that encourages its citizens to have the ability to use and take advantage of proper Internet technology. Therefore, the local government of Depok City, through its Department of Communication and Information Technology, is providing free WiFi Internet access in 254 areas within the city, one of which is Margonda Street, Depok city. Moreover, in 2025, Depok City plans to become a “Smart City”.

Based on the this concept, Biznet that has been available in Depok City since 2013 also provides stable and fast Internet services for the people of the city. Moreover, Biznet also supports the educational sector by providing free Internet connection in several schools including Tugu Ibu Foundation and Genesis Vocational School. In addition, Biznet also provides Biznet WiFi service in public places such as DMall and Margo City.

Depok City is one of big cities in Jabodetabek that becomes people’s choice as a place to live. Moreover, Depok City is also known as the city of scholars, especially with the existence of many high-ranked universities including the leading state-owned university, University of Indonesia (UI).

Moreover, Depok City also has interesting tour destinations to be visited with family and friends. In the beginning of 2020, the local government of Depok City officially launched Depok City square that has complete and unique public facilities. With an area of approximately 3.9 ha, this square is equipped with a futsal court, basketball court, BMX bike path, outdoor gym, skateboard arena, bike shelter, co-working space, elderly park, mural wall, and many more. Depok City also has religious tourism, where people can visit the Dian Al Mahri Mosque, which also know as the Golden Dome Mosque. This mosque has one large dome and four small domes, which are all covered with gold, and the main dome is also designed to resemble the famous Taj Mahal.
