One of the Banyuasin Regency government’s efforts in providing electronic-based public services in the regency is by launching the Sembilang Smart City Banyuasin application. This application was launched in 2018 and provided convenience for the people of Banyuasin in accessing information they need. Similar to other applications, this application has several features such as public services, public information, health, education, Banyuasin TV, weather information, culinary and other menus that are still being developed.

To support the development of technology-based public services, Biznet will be available in Banyuasin, which is expected to be able to support all digital activities of the people and government of Banyuasin. Supported by the latest infrastructure, Biznet also offers Internet service packages that can be chosen according to people’s needs.

Banyuasin Regency is one of the regencies in South Sumatra, which is famous as a producer of natural resources such as oil, gas, coal and minerals. Besides being famous for its natural resources, Banyuasin Regency also has various interesting tourist destinations, one of which is the Taman Nasional Sembilang that has natural wealth and beauty. Various fun activities can also be done such as exploring mangrove forest and river by boat, seeing dolphin attractions and migratory birds from Siberia. Moreover, tourists can also visit other places such as Semenanjung Banyuasin, Benawan Bay, Teluk Sekanan and Betet Island.

Banyuasin Regency, which is about 63 kilometers from Palembang City, also has special culinary delights with the taste of high quality local herbs and spices. Sayur rampai talang is one of the speciality foods from Banyuasin which has the meaning of “rampai” or herbs and spices, and “talang” or garden products, so rampai talang is a garden product cooked with herbs and spices. The garden products that are usually used to make rampai talang are batang keladi, umbut, eggplant, cassava and banana blossom.
